GastRolle (2006)
The annual Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest of its kind in the world, with over 7000 exhibitors and 280000 visitors. On the last day of the week-long book fair, the currant Guest of Honor will ceremonially hand over the GastRolle (Guest-Scroll) to the Guest of Honor for the following year. The design is reminiscent of the archaic scrolls, with connotation of the annual rings of a trunk, containing information about, and in this case, representating the Guest of Honor. Over the years, the Guest-Scroll´s annual rings will create a collection of writing and a record of the Guests of Honor of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
