Star chef Nicolai Wiedmer asked our studio to design the interior of his restaurant Mättle in Lörrach close to Basel. Based on the location and the tradition and values of a German restaurant we developed a cozy interior with a fine selection of materials from local wood and tiles to terrazzo and marble. Furnitures and lightings from our collections for Thonet, Pulpo, Kaufmann as well as some special commissions and vintage objects create a unique atmosphere. Inlays in brass at the walls illustrate some incredients of the menu which is a fusion between local recipes and Asian cruisine.
